Since our last eSlate, new people have joined our Member Services team. They’ve undergone extensive training and are now on the phones, taking your calls. We have also made some system changes to improve efficiency. Thank you for your patience as we work to continue to improve this service.

Scams … it can happen to anyone!

A Member called through and spoke to our team consultant Rosa while he had a scammer on the other line. The scammer was giving instructions to our Member – telling him what he should say. Rosa felt something was not right. The Member was becoming frustrated with Rosa’s questions but she persisted because she could hear the scammer and could tell something was wrong. Our Member called back the next day to thank Rosa – her questioning saved him from losing $15,000.

TIP: Emails, text messages or phone calls which are URGENT or which make you feel under pressure to act may be a scam.

Vale Brendan Griffin
It is with much sadness that we share with Members the passing of credit union stalwart and former VTU Credit Union Deputy General Manager Brendan ‘Griff’ Griffin. He was a strong believer in the principles of mutuality and is remembered for his strong ethics, inclusiveness and approachable manner.

Voice of Member
Last year, we received almost 5,000 pieces of valuable feedback from you, our Members. We have enhanced the process which includes a new-look survey sent to Members to ask about their experience with Bank First. Beginning in April, surveys will be sent from ‘ [email protected]’ with the subject line: ' How was your experience’. We wanted to share this with you in eSlate - so if you do receive a survey, you know it’s us.
Easter closure
We will be closed for the Easter break. Our branches and contact centre will be closed from Friday 29 March and will re-open on  Tuesday 2 April.
